Thank You, M’am Book Review
Thank You, M’am is a book written by Langston Hughes. Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones and Roger are the main characters in the story. On her way home, Mrs. Jones meets Roger who aimed at snatching her purse. Roger’s effort bore no fruit. Roger went ahead to deny that he dint aim at snatching the purse. The boy struggles while in her hands but finally he follows her. How can a person change the life of another? This is the main thesis in the story despite availability of other theses. The boy’s act of attempting to snatch a purse from the woman contributed to a change in his life. Mrs. Jones is able to advise him on the consequences of associating to such acts. She challenges the boy by telling him that asking for help is better than attempting to rob. She gives him ten dollars and warn him not to repeat again.
