Assessment 1: Cryptofinance ecosystem infographic and rationale

Using the financial markets ecosystem template provided as a guide, you will be preparing an
infographic to depict the main actors and players in the cryptofinance ecosystem. You are expected to
identify five to seven players in each space. You should consider platforms, regulators, cryptocurrencies,
products, participants, service providers, cryptocurrency assets and more.

You will provide a 500-word rationale to justify the inclusion of the actors you have chosen in your
infographic and this should be supported by relevant literature. You will choose one of these actors and
explain how this player is revolutionising its sector. You should consider whether this actor is on a global
or country scale. (Note: you cannot choose an actor or player that has been covered in detail in the
course, e.g., Ethereum, Lygon, Ripple.)

Your infographic should answer the following questions:
• Who are the five to seven key players in each sector within the financial market ecosystem?
• Are these players a platform, regulator, cryptocurrency, product, participant, service provider or
cryptocurrency asset?
Your rationale should answer the following questions:
• Why did you choose this one actor or player to focus on?
• How is it disrupting or revolutionising its sector?
• Is this actor/player country specific or global?
• What risks, challenges and/or opportunities does this actor or player present to its sector?
